The   last border an exciting tour through the border road crossing the Montes Azules Biosfera and the Lacandon Jungle.

DAY 1: TUXTLA GUTIERREZ - SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS

TUXTLA AIRPORT, move to dock for touring in a boat through the Sumidero Canyon, one of the most spectaculars natural reserves in Mexico; it is a geological failure formed 36 million years ago with walls of calcarea type elevating to more than 1,000 m., caves and cascades among which it is the “Christmas Tree”, a rocky structure. Before the end of the tour, you visit CHIAPA DE CORZO, a town that was the first settlement founded by the Spaniards with its Mudejar fountain know as “La Pila”, built in the XVI century; it is sample of the colonial architecture with an Arabic influence. Move to hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas.

DAY 2: SAN CRISTOBAL – LAS GUACAMAYAS

Departure, very early from San Crsitobal to Comitan, visiting five of the 56 lagoons of Montebello, famous for the different color of the waters due to some minerals, kind of vegetation and the refraction of the light. We continue to the Santo Domingo River where we will see the incomparable cascades of Las Guacamayas where the spider monkeys will give a welcome to us. This is the place for the preservation of the Guacamayas (green and red). Sleep in cabins. (includes lunch and dinner).

DAY 3: LAS GUACAMAYAS – FRONTERA COROZAL

After breakfast we will take a motor boat and through the Lacantun River we can see crocodiles, spider monkeys and tucans. After a light lunch, moving to Frontera Corozal on the Usumacinta River, border between Mexico and Guatemala. Sleep in cabins Escudo Jaguar including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 4: FRONTERA COROZAL - PALENQUE

After breakfast we will take a boat and thought the Usumacinta River we arrive to the archeological zone of Yaxchilan, site built on a side of the river in the heart of the Lacandon Jungle, the main structure of the site is number 33. Return on a boat to Frontera Corozal, lunch and arrival in Bonampak, mysterious archeological site with the finest murals, representing scenes of war, sacrifices and celebrations . We arrive evening in a hotel in Palenque. Includes breakfast and lunch.

DAY 5: ARCH. ZONE PALENQUE – VILLAHERMOSA AIRPORT

Visit the Arch. Zone of Palenque, one of the most important arch. Zones for the balance between beauty and power achieved by the dynasty of this place. Moving to Villahermosa Airport to flight to the next destination suggestions.

Bring comfortable clothing, repellent, torch, boots or tennis for the hike, rain coat, sandals, a cap for protection to the sun and sun protection.

Consider that after Comitan there are no farmacies or banks.
